Mr. VAUGHAN is fitting up in style the house formerly occupied by Mr. MITCHELL.
Judge FLEMING dislocated his shoulder, while bathing in the Brazos near Albany, recently.
T.J. HOLMSLEY is making an extensive addition to his drug store, besides numerous improvements on the interior.
Dr. G.W. TUCKER departed Monday to attend the meeting of the medical board at Breckenridge.
John CHIDESTER has a beautiful pair of antelope fawns at his residence. He got them out west.
Henry HILL has now one of the best buggy teams in town, in size, speed and beauty they are hard to beat.
Deputy Sheriff YATES had a lively chase after a man named SWAN last Friday eveing, whom he wanted for some petty offense which he committed last fall. He caught him.
Mr. Henry HILL is now running the livery stable, formerly owned by PRIDDY & HILL, and is prepared to feed and take care of stock in as good style as any man in the west. Drummers and travelers should not fail to give Mr. HILLís stable a trial.
The following marriage licenses were issued during the month of May: M.W. CARROLL and Catherine FORD; M.W. PATE and C.E. ALEXANDER; Frank DUCOTY and C.A. LEDBETTER.
Prof. SWITZERís school exhibition takes place on the 20th of June. The children are preparing for the occasion with a vim that bespeaks success.
